How do I get to...

Antholz

The train is the best way to get to the Olympic biathlon competitions held in the Anterselva-Antholz Biathlon Arena. The Val Pusteria-Pustertal railway runs every 30 minutes during the day between Fortezza-Franzensfeste and San Candido-Innichen, while visitors coming from East Tyrol benefit from an hourly service.

At Valdaora-Anterselva/Olang-Antholz station, transfer to the organiser’s Shuttle B to Anterselva di Mezzo-Antholz Mittertal. From there, it’s a 5-minute (300 m) walk to the meeting point for Shuttle A. Shuttle A takes visitors to a point about a 15-minute (850 m) walk from the Biathlon Arena. Full details are provided on the organiser’s official website.

The total journey time from Valdaora-Anterselva/Olang-Antholz station to the Arena is around 1.5 hours. All shuttle services (A, B, C) are free of charge.

Important information

Frequently asked questions:

When is the next train?

All timetables and tickets are available on our website.

Can I park at the train station?

To reduce traffic and make travel easier for everyone, we recommend using public transport. However, parking is available at all train stations in South Tyrol.

What are the advantages of travelling by public transport?

Extensive traffic restrictions for motorised private transport are planned on some routes to the Olympic competition venues. These may require prior registration of the journey and, in some cases, of the car park; in addition, some parking facilities are subject to a charge. Further information on this is available on the organiser's website. Conclusion: Travelling by public transport is therefore generally easier, less stressful and highly recommended.

Are all shuttle services included on the südtirolmobil website?

The Südtirolmobil website provides information on train and bus connections in South Tyrol as well as shuttle services to Antholz. Shuttle services to the competition venues in the Fiemme Valley (Auer – Tesero – Predazzo), to Cortina d'Ampezzo (Dobbiaco – Cortina d'Ampezzo) and to Livigno (Müstair – Livigno) are not included in the timetable information. Further information can be found on the websites of the respective organisers.
