CallBus: ride on demand

CallBus is gradually expanding mobility services in South Tyrol, making travel faster, more sustainable, and more flexible - while remaining a public transport service.

CallBus is an on-demand public transport service that can only be booked through the CallBus app. It offers the following benefits:

  • Flexible travel times tailored to individual needs
  • Direct connections between the chosen pick-up and drop-off points
  • More efficient vehicle use through the intelligent pooling of similar trip requests
  • Greater passenger satisfaction

An intelligent, centrally managed dispatch system automatically collects all trip requests and, whenever possible, adds new bookings to existing journeys.

This optimizes vehicle utilization and increases the overall efficiency of the service. If no suitable journey is available, a new one is created automatically.

The CallBus service will be gradually integrated into the südtirolmobil app, allowing users to access information and book trips more easily through a single, central platform.
