Christmas market in Bolzano / Bozen

Visiting the Christmas market in South Tyrol?

Better by bus and train!

Whether you're heading to the Christmas markets, shopping or just taking a stroll around the festive town, every car that's not on the road makes the city centre a little less congested.

In the run-up to Christmas, public transport connections to the centre of Bolzano will be increased once again this year. For visitors coming from the south, there is an additional train service between Bolzano/Bozen and Verona on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays between 25 November and 17 December, departing from Verona at 8:40 in the morning and returning from Bolzano at 16:36. Please note: this service does not stop at all stations.
From here you can easily reach the markets in other towns by train or bus!

There will be a free shuttle bus service between Bolzano/Bozen South and the city centre on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 25 November to 17 December. The bus runs between Piazza Verdi/Verdiplatz and Fiera Bolzano/Messe Bozen, stopping at platform C in Via Marco Polo/Marco-Polo-Straße every 8/12 minutes.

Within the city, the following bus services will be increased. On Saturday afternoons and on Sundays and public holidays (25/11-23/12/2023) the city lines 3 and 5 will run more frequently. On Sundays and public holidays (26/11-17/12/2023), there will be an additional service every 30 minutes between Bolzano/Bozen and Laives zona industriale/Leifers Industriezone (line 111).
