From 9 to 11 on the morning of Sunday 20 August 2023, the rail network operator RFI will close the tracks between Merano/Meran and Bolzano/Bozen to carry out repair and maintenance works.
Rail replacement services
There will be replacement bus services:
- departures from Bolzano/Bozen train station: every hour at 4 minutes past the hour
- departures from Merano/Meran train station: every hour at 17 minutes past the hour
For each departure, there will be two simultaneous services:
- one travelling along the MeBo highway (Express), calling only at the following train stations: Bolzano/Bozen (bus platform A on Via Garibaldi/Garibaldi-Straße), Maia Bassa/Untermais and Merano/Meran. Please note that standing is not allowed on this service.
- The second service will travel back and forth between Merano/Meran train station (bus platform Z) and Bolzano/Bozen train station (bus platform A on Via Garibaldi/Garibaldi-Straße), calling at more stops along the way. Please note that this service does not stop at Bolzano Sud/Bozen Süd and Bolzano Casanova/Bozen Kaiserau. In Settequerce/Siebeneich, it stops outside the school (Scuola/Schule). In Gargazzone/Gargazon, the stop is in the village centre (Centro/Dorf). The arrival and departure times at individual stops may vary slightly because of longer journey times on replacement bus services.
Rail replacement buses are marked B200. Please note that it is not possible to carry bikes on replacement buses.
Alternatively, passengers can also use the regular 201 bus service between Bolzano/Bozen and Merano/Meran.
